“Be the change you want to see in the world.” Ghandi

No pictures today just a story to tell......

Amy made her kids some super cute lunch bags to take there lunches to school in this fall. She told me that Liam told her that one of his friends brought his lunch to school everyday in a plastic grocery bag. Liam asked Amy if she could make his friend a lunch bag so that he did not have to use a grocery bag anymore. So Amy sewed up a lunch bag for Liam's friend and Liam gave  it to him this week. Liam told Amy that his friend was super excited to have the new lunch bag.

I am so proud of Liam! It makes me happy that at age 8 he saw someone that was not as fortunate as him and wanted to pay if forward.

So there you have it, there is still good out there in the world.....

And Life Goes On......

These are the beautiful flowers that Cassie and Nick sent me last week. It is like having a little bit of spring in the house.
I was super excited that I got Morgan out of the house yesterday and playing. She loves to chase the chipmunks that live in the wood. She ran all over that place and actually stayed outside for almost an hour.

Most the time this is what she is doing. She is still super sad.

Last Saturday Amy, Rick and I went to a library event. I know we really know how to go wild on a Saturday night! Anyhow we went to hear Boyd Huppert from KARE11 news. He does a segment every Sunday night called The Land of 10,000 Stories. He came to speak about storytelling and how he comes up with the stories etc. It was a really interesting talk and I am glad that we went.

Other then that I have not been up to a whole lot. On Tuesday night we had league and I shot one of my best scores in a long time. This year I changed from the freestyle class to the bowhunter class. I think it was a good move for me. If my hands/wrist can hold up I should have a pretty good year of shooting.

I am still waiting on the results of the EMG test I had to see if I had carpal tunnel. I'm starting to get a little impatient. I checked today and they said they are still not in and if they do not hear anything by Monday they will call. I was not real happy with the person who did the test because she only did one hand. I told her I was having trouble with both hands. All I know is they hurt and fall asleep all the time and I want to know if it is carpal tunnel or not so I know what I need to do to make them feel better.

Have a great weekend!

The Story Of Dexter.......

Almost 7 years ago my daughter Cassie talked me into getting a dog. My ex-husbands new wife had a 11 month old dog and she had to get rid of it. Cassie wanted him but her Dad told her she could not take him because she already had a dog. So Cassie pushed him on me. After a having him for a weekend trial I decided that I would keep him and the rest is history...
This is my favorite picture of Dexter. He loved the water and was so happy when I took the picture.

Yesterday we had to put Dexter to sleep. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I am unbelievable sad.  And poor Morgan has hardly left her kennel. She does not understand where Dexter has gone. She has never been alone.

Dexter was my dog and I was his person.....

We all miss him......

Perfect.....

Every once in awhile I am able to find the perfect gift to give Rick. I was hunting around on Esty and  put in the word Archery in  search and I came across Rusty Rooster Metal Fabrication & Design shop. They are a shop that makes custom metal signs. They had a sign in the shop that was a  silhouette of a bow but it was not a Hoyt bow. So I sent him a couple of pictures and asked if he could make one for me. Within three days he had a design drawn up and ready for my approval. Within two weeks the sign was shipped to me. It was perfect! I was so excited to give it to Rick.

It was so fun watching Rick open it up.  He was very surprised and LOVED it. It is the first thing people see now when they go down to his shop to have there bows worked on. I would highly recommend checking out Rusty Rooster Metal shop

It was fun to find the perfect gift this year.

On another note if you are looking for a beautiful calendar you should check out LTImages on Esty

My cousin Lindsey Trenda has just opened up her shop and has some beautiful pictures for sale on it and the calendar. She is just starting out her career as a photographer and is doing a great job.
