Long Live The Challenge......

I could not be more proud of my husband today. We traveled to New Mexico for the National Senior Games so that Rick could compete in the sport of archery. For those of you that do not know what the Senior Games are they are kind of a big deal. People from all over the US have to qualify in all kinds of sports to compete the following year. This year over 14,000 seniors came to compete. It is the olympics for people over the age of 50. Rick qualified to shoot archery in them in 2018 with the highest score in MN for his age group.

Today after a lot of hard work and dedication Rick got 4th place in a very elite group of archers.

The top four

The Top eight archers in his age group-55-59

We traveled to the games with our good friends Connie and Larry. Larry also shot great and got 6th place in his age group, 64-69. They both did so great.

It has been so fun to see all these people that are all over the age of 50 competing in sports and being in such good shape. They should be a model for us all! Congratulations to Rick and Larry and to every one of the competitors that are here for the week whether you place or just finish you ROCK!!!

Feeling inspired....
Sharon
