"It is better to go skiing and think of God, than go to church and think of sport." -Fridtjof Nansen

We were finally able to get the cross county skis out. It seemed like every time it snowed this winter it would turn bitterly cold out and then the next day it would be above freezing and melt most of the snow away. Finally mother nature looked down on us and gave us a perfect winter day.

On a side note you will notice that my skis still have the price tag stickers on them....my skis are at least 20 years old. Maybe someday I will get that sticker off....

We started on the bike path. The city plows the path but after getting 6 inches of snow today we knew it would be good to ski on to get where we wanted to go.

The city has a nature park just a few blocks from our house. I think it a hidden gem in the city. We never see people in it. It has nice walking paths,  it great for the mountain bikes and of course cross country skiing and snow shoeing.

The snow is sooooo deep.

It is a winter wonderland.

Enjoy the snow
