Meet Frankie....

Wow it has been a long time since I have updated. I use to blog at least once a week and now it has been 9 months. But I guess it is a good thing that we have been enjoying life and I don't find myself needing to be on the computer wasting time 😊.

The reason I wanted to update today is because we made a major upgrade to our life this Fall. After much thought, debate and looking at the different styles we decided to buy a class B camper van. We picked her up the first week of September. A week later we took her out for our maiden trip and we knew we had made the right decision. She is a 2018 Winnebago Travato 59K, she is 21 feet long and has everything we need to be on the road and embrace van life . We named her Frankie because the meaning of the name Frankie is free. And that is what she is to us, the ability to be free to travel when and where we want to. To be a free spirts, have fun and enjoy life while seeing new things.

Here she is on our first trip to Fort Ridgely State Park. It was so nice to be able to just back in, plug her in and be ready to go enjoy the park.

Here are a couple of pictures of the inside.

She has a full kitchen with a microwave convection oven, two burner stove, sink and a fridge/freezer with plenty of room for food for at least a week at a time. The counter top  actually has more room to work on  then our travel trailer had.

We have twin beds that can be made into a king size bed. She had a ton of storage for all our food and clothing and anything else we need.

She has a wet bath in the back. We put a shower curtain up that keeps everything dry when we want to take a shower. It works surprisedly good.

You can see the full wardrobe in the bathroom to keep our clothes.

The cab seats turn completely around and a little table comes up for eating etc. I forgot to take a picture of it. We also have a bigger table that can be put up between the beds. The grandkids were very happy to hear that we still had room for them to come in and eat Grandpa Ricks famous breakfast food when we camp together 😀

A few pictures from Fort Ridgely State Park. It is a great little park with some nice hiking trails. I also loved learning the history of the Fort.

Our next weekend adventure was to Blue Mound State Park.

I really liked Blue Mound State Park, I love the open prairie. We hiked 7 miles in the park and got to see the buffalo.

This was Ricks reaction when I told him we still had 2 miles to go in our 7 mile hike 🤣

But we saw some beautiful sites on our hike...

We cannot wait until our next adventure in Frankie. We have a couple more trips planned this fall with her before we have to put in storage for the winter.

We are living our dreams......

Happy adventures everyone...
