On January 1st of 2020 I took the up the Run The Year 2020 Challenge to go 2020 miles in a year. Today on September 10th I finished the challenge!
I was going to run way more then I did but my body likes it better when I walk. I went through three pairs of shoes and did almost all of my miles outside. I would go out in the rain, cold, snow and of course the beautiful sunning days too. I walked all over in my little town but my favorite place to walk was the Doodlebug trail near my house.
I had my best day on May 3rd walking 31.85 miles. My best week was April 27 to May 3rd going 81.96 miles and my best month was in May when I managed to go 273.45 miles.
I met countless people along the way that encouraged me to keep going. It has been so fun and I cannot wait to sign up for next year and go 2021 miles.....
