As 2015 comes to end I find myself reflecting on the year and what I learned in the year. So here you go.......
I learned that even if it is "just a dog" it is really hard to say goodbye. I don't know if I will ever get over having to put Dexter down and I don't know if I will every be able to forgive myself for doing it.
I learned that after 5 years of marriage to Rick that I still love him with all my heart. My favorite part of each and everyday is when we just talk and tell each other about our days. I love that he puts up with my ranting and raving and he just listens to me. He is always there for me when I need him.
I learned that adopting a dog that you know nothing about is quite the adventure! Otis is a 9 pound handful but we love him.
I learned that sometimes it is hard to believe how fortunate we are. We both have good jobs and are able to do the things we want to within reason. We were able to get that camper of our dreams this year and have been able to use it often.
I learned that maybe it was not such a smart idea to have carpal tunnel surgery on both hands at once even if the results were great in the end...
I learned that I have a new favorite cookie and I learned that it is best not to buy them often....
I learned that grandchildren are the best
I learned that sometimes you have to do somethings that you really don't want to do because it is the right thing to do.....Sometime you get thrown into something that is going to be hard and a lot of work but you do it anyhow because you know it is going help protect others. I also learned that it is okay to just let it all out and cry about it but then pick yourself back up and get back to work.
I learned that it is okay to just be silly and act like a kids sometimes. It is good to have fun!
I learned that the love of family is the most important thing of all....
2015 has been a good year.

Italian Orzo Spinach Soup
Today I made this delish soup for supper. It is a vegetarian meal so that is even better. Since I did not have time for lunch today I even had two bowls full. Josie was over for supper and she loved it. It must be good if a 7 year old like it. If you want the recipe click here . It is super easy to make and takes hardly anytime. The only thing I would do different is add a little more spinach.
Enjoy
